Chapter History

To the members of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, Ever Forward is the promise of friendship, the pursuit of knowledge, high academic standards and unlimited philanthropic opportunities. The Gamma Mu provides all of this and so much more. 

The Gamma Mu Chapter of Tri Sigma was established at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA in 1964. Gamma Mu provides service to the community, especially by working closely with their local philanthrophy, Delivering Hope NOLA. The chapter actively participates in campus activities, two of the largest events being Greek Week and Homecoming week. It also promotes and cultivates life-long friendships amongst its members. 

Gamma Mu received the honor of being voted Southeastern Louisiana University's Panhellenic Chapter of the Year at the 2015, 2019, and 2023 DSA Convocation. They also received the REC award for the first time at the 2023 DSA Convocation.
